      FocusLoop is an independent, solo-developed app. I don't collect personally identifiable information (PII).
      The only information that reaches me is anonymous technical and product metrics
      that help me understand how the app is working and where I can improve it.
    

This page describes how FocusLoop works and what limited, anonymous information is gathered during use. Feel free to reach out if anything is unclear.

1. About FocusLoop

FocusLoop is a personal productivity app for Android built around the Pomodoro technique and customizable focus intervals. It is developed and maintained by a single independent developer and is offered free of charge.

2. How the App is Intended to Be Used

FocusLoop is designed for personal productivity use. The app works best when used as intended — as a focus and time management tool. Using it in ways that go beyond its intended purpose is outside the scope of what I can support.

3. Ownership

The app, its code, graphics, and related assets were created by the developer. Using the app does not transfer any ownership of those materials.

4. Updates to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Any notable changes will be mentioned in the app store release notes or communicated through the app.

🔒 Privacy Policy

1. Who Is Behind This App

FocusLoop is built and maintained by Serhii L., a solo indie developer. There is no company or team — just one person working on this project. You can reach me directly via the Contact section below.

2. Personal Data

      I do not collect personally identifiable information (PII). No names, emails, account
      information, or anything that could identify you as an individual is gathered or stored.
    

3. What Is Collected and Why

FocusLoop collects a small set of anonymous technical metrics through Firebase. This information is used purely for development purposes — to understand how the app performs and where improvements can be made. See the Data We Collect section for the full list.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following Firebase services for anonymous data collection:

Firebase Crashlytics — records anonymous crash reports to help identify and fix technical issues.
Firebase Analytics — collects aggregated, anonymized usage events.

Firebase Analytics is configured with advertising ID (GAID) collection disabled (google_analytics_adid_collection_enabled = false). Neither service collects user-level tracking data. Anonymous data collected through these services is processed by Google (Firebase) as a data processor, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) are retained for up to 90 days. Analytics event data (Firebase Analytics) is retained for up to 14 months, per the retention window configured in the Firebase Console. Because no personal data is involved, there is nothing to link back to any individual user.

6. Local Data Storage

All session data and notes are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted.

7. App Permissions

FocusLoop requests the following device permissions:

Notifications — to show session updates and reminders.
Vibration — for haptic feedback during sessions.
Foreground Service — to keep the timer running reliably in the background.

No permission is used to collect personal data.

8. Opt Out

You can stop all data collection at any time by uninstalling the app. FocusLoop does not currently use advertising SDKs. If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated accordingly.

9. Children

FocusLoop is not intended for children under 13.

📊 Data We Collect

The following anonymous technical and product metrics may be collected to support ongoing development:

Collected anonymously

The App Instance ID and Firebase Installation ID are pseudonymous per-install identifiers generated by Firebase. They are not linked to your name, email, or any personal information, and are not advertising identifiers.

Not collected

How the data is used

Crash reports — help me spot and fix technical issues.
Performance data — shows how the app behaves across different devices.
Usage signals — guide which features are worth improving.

      All metrics are anonymous and aggregated. They are only reviewed by me, the developer.
      Data is not sold. It is processed by Google/Firebase solely as a service provider
      under Google's Privacy Policy — not shared with any other third party for commercial purposes.
